A couple of questions from a 770 owner.

Is it possible to use the PC client of the N800 video chat client to chat with another PC using the client? In other words, if one of you invited me to chat, then you invited Angelina Jolie to chat, could I then chat with Angelina after we both downloaded the PC client app?

Is there a link floating around where you can download the PC client without an invitation from an N800 user?

Lastly, is the PC client using Google Talk? Is it possible that this is a beta or an early release of the long wished for Video Google Talk?

All you need to do is send the invitation to one of your google talk contacts - there is a link to the web page. I'll see if I can dig it up, but the program is in Beta - you cannot send video unless the other party has a web cam.

Link is here:

But the program is useless without an invitation. What the invitation does, is it creates an account for non N800 users - that account is automatically added to the original n800 sender's contact list. Which in turn enables video chatting. I find the whole process very tedious and annoying.

Plus the fact that no video is sent if only one side has a webcam means that I can't really test this feature out very well at the moment. You would think Nokia will let you troubleshoot the app first before you attempt to make your first call....
