The N95 is still a better all around device than the N900.

After acquiring a n900 I thought my speakers were broken so I returned them to get another and the speakers were still significantly worse than the N95. (more quiet, sounds like the speakers are blown out)

The camera on the N95 takes better mid range and long range which limits social pics.

The N900 hardware buttons are just awkward enough to make using it just a sight hassle.

I enjoy using the N900 quite a bit for its main purpose web browsing but the limited progress of two of the main features of the n-serise is not what I expected.

I would love to hear that I am just unlucky and have received two faulty phone. Also I would love to hear any other previous n-serise owners who have "upgraded" thanks.

Upgraded from a N95-1 and haven't looked back once. No clue about the photos.

I feel it's superior in everyway for my usage (messaging, surf, email, irc) and I can't imagine ever going back to something like the N95 after getting the *real* desktop experience on my phone ;-)

After that you'll see fmms.log in filemanager or when you connect the device to your desktop as a mass storage device.
E-mail the log to me, if you don't have the email address, drop me a PM. Thanks!

I still have my N95 and N95 8G. I want to say that i love those phones. Speakers are much much more better than N900! Can't say anything about camera because haven't used camera on n900 that much(to be able to compare.)
I have problem with ring-tones, all ring tone from n95 that i try to use on n900 blows speakers on n900, (i mean speakers on full volume can not play the sound without noise). I cant use any of my old ringtones.
It is just horrible. Also speakers are much louder on any n95.

Were your speakers on the n900 better because I really feel I might have just had some bad luck.

i have owned every n-series flagship since end of 2006 and i love my n900, yes sure there's things missing and certain things need tweaking but its nothing that cant be added and put correct.
Think back to when n95 was released it was worst firmware on any device at the time and it was not until few updates later that became this multimedia beast what people considered great

I agree on the speakers. The speakers are not as loud as my N95 8gb. I have the same songs with the same volume leveling on both and N95 8GB is definitely louder, but everything else,....I'd rather have the N900.
I can always get some X-mini max speakers that are really small and portable and are really loud and attempt to fake subwoofers for only 50 or 60 bucks.
Those little things get really high reviews. So if i want volume and a whole new level I'll just get those. N900 is a f'n computer compared to N95.

Thats a heck of a collection. I bought the N95-1 about 2 and a half years ago not really knowing what to expect and got a great phone that just continued to get better as the phone grew. I think I can grow to love the N900 but I was spoiled with my first mobile computing experience.

I had an n95 for a year and then an e71 a year. Now have the n900.

n95 was good for camera and also was quite ahead of the competition (at the time). Couldn't stand not having keyboard so went with the e71.

Camera on e71 sucked, but made up for it by 'awesome' keyboard and unbeatable battery life and SLIM.

n900 has an awesome browser, camera comparable or better than n95 but.....
- to use it as a daily phone is unweildly. It thick and heavy
- taking it out of pocket to answer a call can easily accidently hit the reject button instead
- keyboard is just barely acceptable. Not even close to e71 keyboard
-still evaluating battery.. not sure what to think right now. Will more tests over the week
- lack of apps is ok for now. Worse case I can write whatever apps I really need myself.

Personally the like-dislike for me is going to depend on results of my battery tests.. especially being spoilt with the e71

Do any one experience cracking noise when you choose your own ring tone???
When my ring tones are playing on n900 the sound is not clear i have to lover volume down or use nokia's ring tone.
Can any one try this please?
