ok,
after i remember the kbdd-driver and some search here
i found a mapped kbdd for the bgp-100

its quite old but works out of the box
just download it, here(thx to mlvj)
and:
Pair the Gamepad
in Xterm@root:
hcitools scan #for the btaddr
rfcomm bind {btaddr} 1
kbdd -t bgp100 -p /dev/rfcomm1

Fanoush did some scripting for the kbdd
i take a look at it after my newyear holidays

I'll toss a few more veggies into our creative stew

a company called mayflash has developed a adapter that lets you plug a wii classic controller directly into your PC

http://www.mayflash.com/pc/pc045/pc045.htm

Lots of people were asking for this as they were not really tech heads into pairing the wiimote with there computer just to use the classic controller for there emulators.

So I think the N900 uses a micro USB, I wonder if we can make this adapter work?

I also have a home built arcade with multiple outputs if we find a way to hook up a PC HID device to the N900 it would quite interesting to see my youtube video of playing a N900 with a arcade stick

AFAIK after months and over 500 posts on the topic, nobody has of yet discovered a way to actually get USB host behavior on an N900. That means no plugging PC HID devices...

I keep hoping someone will tell me otherwise but an awful lot of people have tried so far.

Classic example of arbitrary Nokia decision making. Couldn't just fallback to the no brainer of tagging with lat/lon if network isn't accessible, could you Nokia?

I think whoever uploaded it was hopeful that it would work on N900, but it doesn't. It should probably be removed really, as it just causes confusion.

But a similar application can be made for the N900?
What about when running a full Debian install? USB host possible then?

Sorry if these questions are not very welcome, I don't know much about the nokia internet tablets, I just ordered an N900.

Nope, it's a hardware issue. Nokia just hadn't have enough time to get a working usb host + power over usb working. So you have to wait for the N9x0 :s
