I don't see how a firmware update could fix a dead pixel. How is this possible? A dead pixel is a hardware fault I thought and firmware although to do with hardware is actually software...
If I had 1 dead pixel, I would probably keep the device but I have a cluster of 3-4 at the left and a few more elsewhere. Unacceptable.

A user on the NokiaUsers forum took a screenshot and the "dead pixel" appeared in it. I said it was fake at first then another user pointed out that nokia reported it's a software problem not a hardware one.
The ones you're having might be real dead pixels, but there's a chance that they're fixed in a firmware update.

In my experience it can quickly take up to 14 days before getting a phone back from Nokia service shop, and now in the middle of new year (happy new year by the way), would rather just live with it for now and maybe get it replaced where I got it from i january, or a walk in service shop when/if the problem gets recognized by Nokia.
Anyway please do share your reply, maybe Nokia in the UK will be more helpful
