MMS has always been an operator driven technology just to squeeze out money from their customers. The sooner we get rid of, the better. As it is already stated, real email is far better option over MMS.
The downside is that the operators actually have succeeded and people demand MMS today.

MMS cost to send as much as SMS. MMS cost nothing to receive. No interest for the operators here. If you only send a few messages a month, it is much cheaper than a data plan that is required for email. MMS is "push technology", email is not.

hmm reminds me of some distros forum where couple of developers tough that they know what is best for other users by thinking only their own needs and "knowing" that its right and most efficient way..talking about key to unsuccess. I Wonder why these kind of people never make any good business..
