I would like to present the following issue:

I installed 'pc-connectivity manager' from extra testing repository. It was installed successfully as well *** the 'connection switcher' afterwards. Then the system attempted to update the 'pc-connectivity manager' right after that. I thought this was odd right after I installed it, but I continued anyway. The result was a reboot and a severe problem where I don't seem to get access to anything on the system, including the application manager.

The result of the following actions:

- sudo gainroot in x-terminal:
>> /etc/sudoers is mode 0600, should be 0440

- log in application manager:
>> 'operation failed'
>> log message:
apt-worker exited
sudo: /etc/sudoers is mode 0600, should be 0440

EDIT: in file manager 'Nokia N900' is replaced by 'Nokia NXX'
EDIT: fremantle version in settings states: null

I would be most grateful if anybody could point me in the right direction of a solution as I am rather desperate..

Note that I cannot install anything. I do have vim installed.

thanks.

I am looking at the instruction atm. It might work but I hoped it wouldn't come to that. I pretty much got my device organized in two weeks of toying around..
