You're using bash which is not available on all devices.

I also have this problem.
if I run:
/opt/menu-update/update.sh
I get "/bin/sh: /opt/menu-update/update.sh: not found"
if I run:
sh /opt/menu-update/update.sh
it works ok.
ls -la /opt/menu-update/update.sh
-rwxr-xr-x 1 1000 1000 1469 Jan 3 22:00 /opt/menu-update/update.sh

change heading in file update.sh
from #!/bin/bash to #!/bin/sh and then it works
