Is there any discount codes for use with the nokia site? Only until now I'm able to afford the price of £499 off the nokia site so I'm not able to use the 15% off xmas code that was posted on here,

Also, I have a friend thats just moved to America, if I was to buy the phone from a US site and then have her send it over to me (saving me a fair bit of money) would I be able to use it in the UK?

Thanks and hello Maemo

You should certainly be able to use the US phone in the UK. There may be slight keyboard differences though, and there'd certainly be issues if you had to make use of the warranty.

You can use the phone worldwide (since it's unlocked) but you won't be able to use the warranty according to nokias warranty policy. Imagine that you get a bugged N900... I also bought mine from the U.S. and I currently live in Portugal. It's a risk that you have to take.

About the discount codes sorry but I know nothing regarding these codes.

www.newegg.com and www.amazon.com (USA) both have the phone for $549 (US). That's only about 350GBP?

thanks for the replies. I'm selling ny N97 which is in mint condition to help pay for it, so I'd only be paying £250-£300 anyway, depending on what i get for my n97, which are currently selling for around £200-£250.

After my experience with the N97, I think it would probably be best to buy it from the UK just in case like viegas said
