I still would not dare to mess with X terminal that much, plus I would not know how to input the icon. So, please, someone come up with a simply app/widget!

You won't touch/edit any configuration files/whatever_else you have in the phone, but just adding a new shortcut description to run a certain command in X Terminal... Nothing else...Of course, you have to understand what you are doing, otherwise I won't suggest to do anything on your phone.
Icon is simple - you can put "general_refresh" to get attached icon for new shortcut.
Let's call the file mprc.desktop:
[Desktop Entry]After this file added, you'll get a new button in More menu with attached icon, named MPRC
Encoding=UTF-8
Type=Application
Name=MPRC
Exec=/usr/bin/osso-xterm 'tracker-processes --hard-reset'
Icon=general_refresh

Ok. What does "you need to be root" mean? And once I am in the X terminal and "root", I just type in this exactly? Do I hit enter after each line or what? When does the X terminal actually execute the string of lines? See, I am a noob...
And yes, I've run the tracker-processes -r command (my first time in x terminal.. was very exiting), but I have so far managed to get 2 cover arts to show after having run that command maybe 10 times and having a simple button to press would be much more convenient to try to tease the N900 to recognize the pics..

I was going to point you at the thread I made a while back about cover art, but I see you've already posted in there.
How about this?
1. Move folder with music/art to TMP
2a. Delete the contents of the 2 folders mentioned earlier
2b. Reset the tracker database (the "tracker-processes -r" thing)
3. Move the folder back
4. Start media player
5. Wait for indexing to finish

Ok, I'll try that again - I tried before but I had not seen the reference to "two folders" when I tried. Which two are they (I can look it up in the other thread I guess)?
