Well... it won't come until at least the second firmware update sometime in late February or early March.

i prefer seeing new fresh tread sometimes. I seriously don't like going through a whole 37 pages of post from 5 months ago.

And i late Feb/early march if we are lucky lol

More redundant new threads = more noise. More noise means less likelihood of finding useful information. In the case of multiple threads on one topic, the information usually ends up split across the threads, requiring people to visit each thread to get the information they seek. When reviewing long threads, you always have the option of skipping to the more recent pages - there is no requirement to read it all, unless you are unable to find the information you seek in recent posts.

Starting new threads for existing topics also puts more strain on the moderators that have to end up moving/consolidating information to keep the forums clean. Consolidating new threads into existing generally makes the existing thread more difficult to follow, so those that read the original thread seeking information may end up confused by the merged posts.

At the rate t.m.o is going, there will soon be so much noise anyone serious about discussion of Maemo/Nxxx will end up elsewhere, as it will be impossible for anything useful to be accomplished here.
