i think apt-get install ratpoison was all i needed.
i love screen when i'm doing command line stuff. ratpoison is effectively screen as a wm... C-t n to switch windows.
no icons, no graphics, nooverhead at all. i

Keyboard problems are mostly solved worked-around. The fastest way to get keyboard in LXDE again is hit the power button and then tap outside the menu. This should restore keyboard to LXDE.

Quick question: Is the /debian folder supposed to be hidden? 0.9.35-3 failed to mount for me until I un-hid it. I thought it was hidden so maemo didn't index it or something.

Flynx: can you be more specific with your bug report?
I purposely changed the name of the mounting folder to /.debian to keep it from being indexed, yes, but why did you need to unhide it? Can you run "sudo closechroot", change the directory name back to /.debian, then run and post the output of "sudo debian" please?

This will not cause a problem in new installs, because I have changed this in the ~/.chroot config file, but it will cause a problem for users updating from previous versions, because it doesn't update previously installed .chroot files.
As a workaround, change the "CHROOT=/debian" line to "CHROOT=/.debian" in your /home/user/.chroot file.

i tested opening oo writer and it took more than a minture to fully load. I didn't try ff but i assume it will be similar. easy debian itself runs smooth and beautifully but program still have trouble. hope this help somewhat.
