If your 3G coverage ısn't too good ıt can swıtch between 2/3G.
And ıt would only take one tıck ıf there were 3 optıons that you can pıck from lıke I saıd above

Just saw this now, dunno how I managed to miss it on Friday... I was one of those who requested something to do this from the desktop, an applet is even better ! Thanks (once more) qwerty12 !

I'll see how it goes: If enough (read: a couple more) people want to be able to select Dual mode, too, I'll give up and add the option to the -devel version and promote that.

Ideally, I'd like to be able to keep both modes of operation but the status menu area doesn't really lend itself to having settings there, short of a Control Panel applet which is just plain wasteful in this case - an applet that only has "Enable mode selector"? Heh...
Thank you for Dual/3G/2G variant - I am not able to restore Dual mode via "control/Phone" and I don't know why.

Hi and thanks for the nice and very usefull applet

I have only one wish; could the custom three-mode version be renamed into something different than the version that's in repos? I don't want to get the custom version to be replaced by the default version as an upgrade whenever there's an updated version available.

Thanks in advance and keep up the great work!

qwerty12.
I really dig this applet in it's current form.
But to get rid of the 3G VS Dual discussion,
Isn't this proposal of arif... an option?
the brightness applet also has more as one press places.
Can't it be done?

I'm aware of that, since I also wrote that one.

Anyway, it can be done, as evidenced here:

Just need to sort it out before I upload it...

(Sorry, biggzy, there's not enough space for the icon anymore.)

0.4 has been promoted to Extras-testing!

Please vote for it here: http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...on-applet/0.4/

Thanks!

(And the ones that don't know what they can do with that baton which I will provide for you. Free.)

Can I have a version where I don't have to look that stupid "dual" button?

I miss the 0.3 version...
