I'll see how it goes: If enough (read: a couple more) people want to be able to select Dual mode, too, I'll give up and add the option to the -devel version and promote that.
Ideally, I'd like to be able to keep both modes of operation but the status menu area doesn't really lend itself to having settings there, short of a Control Panel applet which is just plain wasteful in this case - an applet that only has "Enable mode selector"? Heh...

Ooo, greatAnother useful option shoveled up from the settings
A 3 button version ([DUAL][2G][3G]) with the current setting ''pressed'' would be a bit more accessable imo
