Hi Elris, thanks for joiining.

Add your preferred location to the wiki page, please:

http://wiki.maemo.org/Maemo-Italian_Long_Weekend

So that we have one place to go look for them.

I think there are enough options to choose from, it's time to go ahead and see which one has the most contacts in place and the best venue where to run the event.

As a note, if you don't speak english, feel free to participate in Italian, this is a Maemo Italian week end and it's being organized for Italian speaking people.

O a 'mbriacarsi. )

There will be the opportunity to sit all together around a table with plenty of beer for everyone

I added his suggestion while reorganizing the page. In a few moments, I'll also add a poll to this thread for the most popular location(s).

One word of caution for the proponents: we all know that getting an Overland-style truck can take you anywhere but Venezia and Catania are not well-connected the same way Milano is, for example. If you want to "sell" your location, it helps being aware of its pros and cons.

I'd go for a three-day event, four is pushing it imho: we need to consider also that the first Sunday after the full moon following the vernal equinox is already taken, worldwide

Do you know how many rooms are there and how many people each room can accomodate?

Without this information we can't even think to add it to the list of possible choices.

Hi Aniello and all,
and Happy New Year.
Do you have an understanding on how many developers we could get from Italy if we arrange an event dedicated to "Developing on Maemo" and what could be the topics. How was structured the event in Barcelona. Anyone of you have materials to share about that event?
