The QT optification will be handled in a different way. The python optification just moved the python includes and interpreted libraries (the main binary python library is still on the rootfs). Moving libraries around is trivial though, and just requires updating the runtime linker configuration to tell it to look in an additional location.

Installed rootsh, opened X-terminal and typed:
sudo gainroot
apt-get install pymaemo-optify
apt-get clean

Then i wanted to check free rootfs by typing df -h and i get this:

What does it mean? Do i have enough free space?
And how can i get it back to normal before optifying python with rootsh?
That all looks okay - you just need to scroll up in X Terminal to see the line with rootfs though.

And there's no need to go "back to normal" - everything works perfectly well the way it is now, and this is how any new installations will be anyway.

you can scroll up from that to see rootfs.
or use this command:

Code:
df -h | grep rootfs
this is what mine looks like:
rootfs 227.8M 178.3M 45.3M 80% /

That means I have 45.3Mb free and 80% is used.
the | you can get from Fn-Ctrl

you need ~50Mb free to install PR1.1.

68Mb should be fine.

No need to apologize

Is it possible to get rid of themes you aren't using? There are only two in the settings but it looks like there are folders for more in /usr/share

I assume you're referring to the Default, Emacs, Raleigh, and default directories under /usr/share/themes (alpha and beta are the 2 themes you see under Settings). The Default, Emacs, and Raleigh directories contain keybindings and are of minimal size (44k total). The default directory is just a symbolic link to the alpha theme. I would not remove any of the aforementioned directories manually, as it will cause breakage and not gain you anything.

Does python show in the uninstall section of the app manager?

Also, is there a way to know which apps use python?

No, and not unless you go digging through the files after installation, or if the author has mentioned it. But once it's optified, it's not really something you need to worry about.

mece,
I have Python 2.4, 2.5, and 2.6 that are in /usr/lib

Is there a script to do them as well?
