Hi all, hope this is the right place for this thread.

Was just wondering if anyone knows why there is a folder named Mac OS on my n900? I did transfer some files to it from a iMac. The media players on the n900 can see and play the files fine however the file browser cannot open the folders within the Mac OS folder.

Hope i explained it ok!

Cheers

didn't seem to contain anything important, so i erased that nothing seemed to happen or go wrong afterwards, so i suppose it's safe to get rid of it if you want.

The folder is created by Nokia Multimedia Transfer the first time you connect your N900.

No, I don't think so: the MacOs folder is there for all N900. I have never connected my N900 to anything else than my Ubuntu in usb-storage mode, and the folder is there anyway.

When viewing the folder in Mac, it contains shortcut links to the "Images", "Videos", "Sounds", and "Documents" folders in your N900 ~/MyDocs, because by default they're hidden and cannot be seen by Finder unless you enable view hidden files.

For way more information than you probably want on this, please see a post I made in the "A couple of begginer questions: SIP integration/root/basic linux" thread.
