if you just don't want people being able to access your movies, you can set the media player to NOT look in certain folders. There is a thread if you search that will show you how to do it.

Solved this problem by writing a shortcut menu using bash script with switching folders of images and videos on such a dot before the name (similar to hidden .bash_profile
. I added the icon switching this and probably nobody guess that should push it to see something.

I know Gstreamer views a hidden folder by default though right? As I just added the standard video folder to my MPlayer list last night and it was a hidden folder.

An app that would do such things as lock contacts/conversations/email/photos/media player would be a great addition to many devices
