GTalk crashed when I tested it. Used Firefox on OS X to start a video chat to the N900. Everything worked until I started to use the camera on the N900.
"video chat with failed because of a network problem at 5:52 PM. Please try again"
Hoping that Skype will have videochat on the N900 soon.

I just tried making a call between gtalk on n900 and gtalk/gmail chat on my PC and the webcam feature works. I can only initiate the video conference thingy from my PC tho, couldn't find the button to initiate it from the n900.
Tested on Skype and Msn (Haze) as well and both don't seem to support that as of now.
Btw, I just found out I can actually recharge Skype credit directly from n900's Skype account, not sure if this was an old feature or new implementation after PR 1.1.

So how exactly are you guys able to initiate a video chat with the n900 from the PC gtalk account? It shows that the n900 gtalk client doesnt support video chat and doesnt allow me to press the video conference button.....also when i try to press the camera button on the n900 it just opens up the camera application itself. Am i doing something wrong?

the way i have been opening up the front camera for use is on wifi, and i have the computer start the video chat, with my mac send the invite you accept and the camera button is there

I tried it a few minutes ago. Called the N900 from the computer, got very choppy image on the N900.
As soon as I pressed the camera icon on the 900, the image is transmitted for a few seconds, then the conversation is ended with [Code: 3 Remote: false]
Interesting development though
