Those threads really should be in the Off-Topic forum. Unless there is a relation with anything Maemo specific, then it has no right to live here.
If you find any such threads, please do report them (within reason) using the "Report This" link on the top righthand corner of the post. Moderators will look at it and see if indeed it should be located in another forum. Please do include a good explanation as to why you've reported the message, it's not as obvious as most people believe sometimes.

Could there be a separate forum for these kinds of discussions, perhaps called "Manufacturers", with non-Maemo threads about manufacturers moved there?
