I want to do things with the keyboard, but I have no Idea even where to begin. I hear people talinkg about thinks like "press SHIFT-TAB" - where is there a TAB buton on the N900?!

Please understand, I'm not talking about writing scripts to hack key locations. I'm talking about learning which keys are which, and which combinations to press to do simple things like switch between open windows, rotate the screen, etc.

Thanks for the beginner's advice.

Yes good question. This also puzzled me for a while. To get a tab key (and other special keys not shown on the keyboard) press the fn key(upwards right-slanting pointing arrow) followed by the Sym key that is just above it. When you do this an on-screen grid of special (symbol) characters appears. Tab is the second one down from the top leftmost character.

Thank you for that link.

It contains a pretty basic set of commands, though, and it doesn't give a keymap or names of keys. Again, I think of the "TAB" key.

Somewhat OT, but I feel the wiki is non-intuitive in many ways, esp its arbitrary naming of topics. As well, I couldn't find that link anywhere in the wiki. What categoty is it under?
