First of all, Great job on your testing and feedback. Much thanks. I am patiently waiting too since I left the WinMo world. I quietly hoping it will come soon because I WAS SO CLOSE TO SMASHING MY N900 while navigating with OVI map. I guess I am spoiled by GARMIN.

Anyway, you will likely file the file structure using xterm. Use "cd" to change directory and "ls" to listing items OR you can install the app emelFM2 (not sure from which depository) to help you locate it.

By the way, keep up the good work.

Since they are complaining that the free space is low - probably in /opt/[sygic or something]. This partition is limited to 2GB.

I don't quite understand why they are not using the bigger partition, maybe because its vfat and deb packages don't like it. Well, we can always symlink them in there if the space runs too low.

I like the separate packages though - this way I won't have to pay for countries I don't plan going to anytime soon (and I can pay afterwards if I need to go there).

i think even ovi maps uses the bigger vfat partition for map storage... They'd be a bit silly if they don't use the vfat partition...

Ok for the Australians out and about thinking of using this.
This is the responce from Sygic, I really was hoping they would have done something that makes the standard maps available to all devices.

Hello,

Maps from Australia are not available at this moment. Nokia N900 is selling only in USA and Europe. As soon as it will be available in Australia we bring Australia maps.

Thank you for contacting support and for your interest in our products.

Best regards

I was really hoping to grab this for Australia

wooot?

What does it has to do with where the phone sells??
Stupid thing is, most of the time i dont need to use navigation in my own country.. sometimes it is nice but the times that i use it are spare.

When do i use it... if i am on vacation or on a bus.trip in another country.

For example this year i will go to South Africa for the WordCup i need navigation there.. But N900 is not being sold there so no navigation? Why??
