So, you are trying to access your home WiFi network?
It should be fairly simple. Tap on the status icons (the battery, clock, and such), tap Internet connection, tap on the network you want to access.

Or are you like me, stuck on regular 56k modem dialup?
If so, then you can't connect the N900 to the internet using it as of yet. If you have a data plan with your cell provider, you can connect using that on the device. Chances are that it'll be a bit slow, but still about the speed as dialup. In my experience, it's faster than dial up, and I end up using my phones as connection modems over bluetooth.

I'm guessing he uses some sort of user/auth on top of wifi... Like PPP on top of WiFi... I don't think that's supported.

Some time ago, there was a similar sounding request ("PPPOE connection?") from an N800 user in Hong Kong. The general consensus was that a router with PPPoE support should be purchased and used, but compiling rp-pppoe and kernel ppp support might be a (potentially challenging) option.

I think no one here understood what you said. You have a wifi at home. But you want to make it appear like dial up when someone wants to connect at it. I don't know how you can do that, but maybe some app that will make the network ask for username and password. But i don't understand why do you want it. Just the password isn't enough?
