I just finished writing this article reviewing Easy Debian:

Nice writeup, especially including screenshots. Tiny menu items and crowding (but really me being lazy, hehe) kept me from trying out easy debian. Seeing it, it doesn't look too bad. Think I'll give it a shot later.

Thanks. Yes, you need to have good eyesight, but it works remarkably well.

Just be careful. There appear to be some issues with the Easy Debian repositories. Some have had their OOo break after doing an apt-get upgrade. Also, space is limited. But, if it goes well, let us know.

Having things explained with a little more details (step by step) for those new to linux would be great

That page states that Easy Debian is in the "extras" repository. I think it should be "extras-testing." How close is it to getting to "extras"? I see it listed under fresh downloads, but with no install file linked.

How do you uninstall it?
thanks,

thanks,
I think that it has been going in and out of extras. There is a version in extras-testing, but according to this post the one you want is the one in devel.

Oh, and to uninstall it:
"Uninstall the package with the Application Manager. Reboot. Delete the big image file from your SD card. Done."
