There is no necessity for something especial in a configuration of OMWeather.
Yes. Other icon sets works also well.

Version 0.17.2 has corrected the connection icon issue in my 770. Thanks!

Only problem was that the weather location "FINLAND -> FINLAND -> HELSINKI/VANTAA" didn't seem to work. When I added this to my location list, the location changing buttons kept just looping the locations listed before (left arrow) or after (right arrow) HELSINKI/VANTAA.

But well, I could add Helsinki as a custom station (FIXX0002) and remove HELSINKI/VANTAA from the list.

EDIT:
There was no problem with HELSINKI/VANTAA after all. In fact it was the same weather.com location which I had added earlier as custom station (FIXX0002). The error described above was caused by duplicate stations.

Now I just wonder which location gives most accurate information about the weather in Helsinki city centre.

No luck for me. The new version, installed after a reflash, never updates and in one ocassion produced the restart over and over again bug. Now desinstalled and waiting for the new release.

It's working like a charm Vlad. I updated to v0.17.2 yesterday with no problems. I dig that Grzankas icon set. It really "pops" on my deep blue screen background.

How about a screenshot of that?

I originally installed omweather 0.17 on my N800, then upgraded to 0.17.1 and finally 0.17.2. Somewhere during that sequence, automatic weather update stopped working. I'm not sure whether it was after the .1 or .2 bump. I could still update manually, but otherwise the desktop forecast never changed (even when the days advanced with the calendar).

To borrow a phrase from an academic research friend:
"Data, unlike wine, does not age well." ;-)

I decided to file a bug report, but first I uninstalled 0.17.2, did a power-off reboot, and reinstalled. That fixed the problem! Apparently the fresh install put the applet in a different state than upgrading in place. Obviously I can't guarantee this will work for everybody, but it's worth a try!

[EDIT: All my user specific settings (Location, Interface, Units) survived the uninstall/reinstall cycle, so this is a fairly painless test.]

One more thing: I also recommend trying the Grzankas icon set. The extra splash of color and dimensionality is quite attractive. If you don't like it, you can easily revert back to the default set.

It's good to know this worked for you... the opposite is what happened to me...

I had .16 installed and it just disapeared from my home screen one day... uninstalled it... installed .17 and got infinite reboot loops... had to reflash... installed .17.2 and so far no problems... i thought my biggest mistake was "uninstalling" the program and then "reinstalling" it while seeing it was messing up to begin with... but in your case this worked out for you... who knows why.
