I've noticed my battery draining rapidly while idle since installing sshd. (Lost half its charge overnight.) This is without the wifi having been activated, so it's not the standard battery drain bug (although may be related). Does anyone else experience this?

I've had sshd always installed but my battery doesn't lose almost any charge overnight (offline). So I don't think it has anything to do with sshd.

No, sshd does not drain battery normally.

Yesterday I noticed that my hildon-home process began to eat CPU. It would sure have drained the battery in no time if I didn't kill it immediately. It restarted automatically and it was OK again.
You could check top in X-Terminal to see which process is using unusual amounts of CPU.

Hmm no such issue... The one process that does though is openvpn.

Sorry, forgot to say that I tried htop. sshd is always on 0% CPU, and <10 seconds total time. I was wondering whether it was somehow triggering the wifi drain bug.

Xorg and pulseaudio are using aboyt 2% each, nothing else of note.

It seems that https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6868 may have been the culprit; it was purely by chance that I got hit by this after installing openssh.
