something random started happening with my conversations ... each time i got a message the number kept increasing ... can anyone help me ?

I don't understand. Those are message counts. They increase with each message. What is the problem?

yeah i know ... i have read all of those messages ... its just started doing it now .. those red stars come up when i just send a text as well :S

Do you enter the conversation when you send and type then enter, or do you use the "new message" interface?
Have you tried rebooting (after it's off, pull the battery) yet?
Also, do you have any notifications active? Go to the menu and make the windows tile (like alt+tab/exposee). Is there a yellow window?
