Hello,

I would like to know if anyone has any experience using an N810 case for the N800? I just bought an 800, but I don't like what I'm finding (or not finding) for hard, protective shell casing. I want to buy something that can really take a beating - or at least a fall, and am wondering if the N810 cases are a good route. I know that the two are similar internally - how about externally?

Thanks for the help!

For example I was thinking something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Nokia-N810-Arm...4211553&sr=8-6

I am interested in something that would allow me to still see the screen.

The n800 is quite a bit larger than the n810 because of front facing speakers and front buttons/pad.

The case in your link would be far too small to fit, as would probably any hard case for the n810.

O.O Thanks for the heads up! Are there any other devices that would sync to the 800's size (770, Nintendo DS, PDAs)?

Also, if hard cases are not an option, how good are soft ones at minimizing damage from falls?

I think the n770 is larger still, a general Nokia trend so far. I don't know about the others.

Have you searched for n800 case? Google returns lots of hits for hard and soft cases.

I bought one from proporta.com about a year ago and like it. It is leather reinforced with aluminum over the display.

Yes. All my hits were for silicone cases, or cases that were made to hide the screen from view (zip up cases). I was wondering - does silicone do the trick for protecting against impact damage?
