after doing some search on this forum. i found that some users are experiencing n800 smoking or corrupting their SD memory card. my 256mb sandisk sd card refuses to be recognized on my n800 now. i tried the sd card in my computer and it doesnt even recognize the sd card. i cant even format the card. anyone experiencing the same thing or have an idea whats going on? did the n800 corrupt my 256MB sd card??

at first i thought maybe the n800 card reader was corrupted. i took a kingston SD card from my treo and the n800 recognized the sd card.

Just reformat the card and it should work again.

i wish i could format it, but everytime my computer or notebook reads the card, it locks the system up.

Try it with a linux live CD. Don't "read" the card, just format it.
