Facebook chat is working perfectly via jabber, like msn messenger too. It requires you to make account to free jabber server that has msn and facebook gateway/plugin installed and thats it

Totally agree. I'd love for a way to filter contacts or group them or something. Even just with my AIM/gtalk/yahoo contacts loaded in, it starts to get a little long.

After you found one, install pc client first (pandion or PSI) and make account to that server from pandion/psi client (usually that way).
After account is created, log in and check what transport it will support. Choose MSN gateway and insert your msn account login and password.
Now you will get your msn contacts added to your jabber account.
After that choose facebook transport (or gateway) if its supported by jabberserver you have chosen. Same thing with login information. After that you can see your FB chat ppl in your jabber client (pandion or psi).
Now you can close jabber client (yes, pandion or psi
) and log in with n900 to that jabberserver and you will get those contacts to your addressbook and when ever your jabber account is online, your msn ja fb chat will be too.Little bit hard to say how this will work, but i hope you get the clue. Also you can put your own Jabberserver online and use that (like i did).
It will take some time to understand how this works and how to do. Learning curve isn't that hard, but requires some time.
