I'd like to change the N810 script for playing rai-tv video streams that was in http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...ghlight=rai-tv and adapt it to the N900.

Is there a simple way to launch the default mediaplayer from command line with a streaming video url as an argument?

As I wrote before, I preferred to use the default mediaplayer, if possible.

Maybe dbus-send --session --type=method_call --print-reply --dest=com.nokia.mediaplayer /com/nokia/mediaplayer com.nokia.mediaplayer.mime_open string:"$URL" may help, but I can't be certain.

Would this be possible to apply with Dbus Switchboard so that certain videos start directly in the mediaplayer instead of the webpage?
