my n900 received an update today as Traditional Chinese update. So i just hit update and successful in about 1 minute. After that i realize everytime when i slide the screen to use keyboard the phone will automatically shut down. I restart the phone than it shows a lot of codes and still the samething with the screen whenever i slide the screen the phone will shut off. after couple restart the phone now totally dead. How can i flash the phone and get it back on. Please help~~~

Thanks very much for the reply. Now my N900 alive but there is another problem. the phone not reconize the sim card. "cellular network not available" What should i do now ><

Make sure you flashed it with the latest OS PR1.1 and not back to PR1.0.

so what should i do now?

I have no idea. I'm still waiting for some advice on this too.
Only good thing is, the fact that it's happened to more than one person makes it very unlikely that it's a hardware fault. So it should be fixable..

so your N900 is useless as mine now? i tried to flash again with the 2.2009.51-1 but it said "FIASCO Subimage data length mismatch"

1: You must flash with a 51-1 image, not any 42- image, if you had originally tried to upgrade with the 1.1 over-the-air update. Going back to 42- won't work at this point (you'll lose GSM)
2: @kenny_evo: Re-download the fiasco image, it sounds like you got a corrupted download. There is an MD5SUM file there which contains the md5 checksum of each file, if you have the md5 or md5sum application on your computer you can use it to verify that your downloaded image is correct.
3: Your battery must be well charged, or you may be unable to reflash. If your battery is discharged at this point then you may be in trouble. As was I. I had to go and buy a standalone charger. The other option is to find someone with a battery-compatible phone and charge your battery there.

Hi Everyone!!
I am from India and here N900 is not launched, so there will be no support from Nokia Care if phone goes dead while updating.
So is it better to take risk or there will be a way through even if the phone goes dead totally while or after updating to PR 1.1.
