I just bought a N800 and Think Outside Stowaway Bluetooth Keyboard from Amazon. I got my N800 started up, got a connection to my Wi-Fiand decided to get the keyboard going as well. I connected my N800 to my PC, inserted the CD for the Keyboard and thats all that is going on. When I try to install the driver it keeps on saying it failed.

Anyone with better instructions to get this going then the ones that came with the keyboard?

I thought the drivers were already on the 800. Try Tools/Control Panel/Hardware Keyboard/Keyboard, Generic 105-key pc. That's how it worked for the Apple keyboard I tried.

Ok I tried this and it did not respond at all. Did you do anything with the CD that it came with? Cause like I said, the CD wouldnt do anything for me.

You don't need the CD at all. Go into the control panel, bluetooth, devices, then new. Hold down control and both 'fn' keys together while the tablet scans for it. Once discovered, find the verification code, tap "OK" then type in the code with the keyboard. It should then connect.

Ok it found the keyboard. I click on it, then OK. I get PAIR WITH DEVICE screen where it gives me a passcode. I click on OK and get:

"Pairing Failed. Authentication time-out. Try Again?"

WHat do I need to do?

Make sure that you are holding down the blue 'fn' key when typing in the numbers. Also, press 'OK' then enter the numbers. It should automatically connect.

See, I didnt type in ANY numbers. There were numbers in the pass section already in there, when the window to pair the keyboard and N800 opened up.

Ok after you see the passcode then you need to type those numbers in using the bluetooth keyboard... you will not see what you are typing... PRESS THE FN key while typing in the passcode numbers... THEN PRESS RETURN!

The onscreen instructions don't tell you that you need to press return after entering the numbers, but you do.
