Hi

When i go to the gym I must have my n900 off in terms of not receiving a cell phone call. Today I started using an Panuccio -Podcaster player. I turned off the carrier signal and guess what, it tuned off the volume.

So I was wondering, is it possible to put an option on the desktop for a flight mode icon that can trigger the n900 to kill the carrier signal BUT not the volume?

Scott

Couldn't you just put it on silent?

There's a "cellular modem control button" in Maemo Extras that do just that. It only disables your cellular modem and leaves wireless functional so that you can still stream music, podcast, etc. from the internet

If the N900 is on Silent, some 3rd party apps (inc. Punnuci and zoutube, I think) don't have any sound. I guess they will get that sorted out soon. Not sure if it's a 3rd party bug or a Maemo bug

Both great apps though, imo.

I wanted to mention that, hwong_pz.

I've just installed it and it works - no cellular, but with wifi. Great.

Thank goodness for the community ...
