The site probably coded something that is not Flash 7 compliant (which is on the N800) and required you to "upgrade to Flash 9", which won't work on the N800.

Until Nokia gets a license for Flash 9 you won't be able to see or interact with that page or other sites that use the newest Flash protocols in their movies/files

Is there a chance of the Flash hitting the N800 soon?

Opera has stated that, at least for their Wii browser, Adobe won't license anything past Flash 7. I would imagine (wildly speculating) that since Opera is also the browser that runs on the N800, it faces the same licensing issue. It may be possible for some enterprising person to get Gnash working, and I understand they will eventually be able to run Flash 9. But for now, it's in Adobe's hands.

Does anyone know why in the world Adobe wouldn't license "anything beyond Flash 7?" This seems like a surefire way to at least diminish Flash's popularity, if not kill it completely. I can't imagine Adobe is going to sit around and write Flash themselves for all the OSes out there...

I wouldn't be surprised if the 99% solution is to have the browser claim it supports, e.g., Flash 9 when the code actually only supports Flash 7: Like Acrobat, in many cases none of the newer features are actually used.
