does anyone has the following problem...??? i have installed some apps like flashlight but even the icon is not on the menu with the clock battery internet connection etc... even if i open the lens cover the icon does not appear...

i rebooted several times... i even reflashed the device...! nothing happened..!

some programs don't have icons and i agree its confusing but Flashlight works for me.

Flash Light don't have icon.
For using it open camera (on backside of phone), close camera application. In Status menu (where information on profile, internet connection) you will get new button FlashLight....

yes open the camera cover then click on the applet menu and it should be there.

I had that same problem. The actual problem was there were too many applets in the status bar so it would never show the applet for the flashlight app. What I did to fix this was install "Powatool"(I think its in the extras-devel) to disable some of the applets I do not use. (I disabled Profile). Once this was done the flashlight applet appeared. Hope this helps.
