What I'm saying is that you can remedy the thing with a black marker or conscious use of the flash. Is it an 'oops' in this class of a device ? Yep (an even bigger oops is the N97 lens scratch, but I digress). Can it be remedied trivially (i.e. black marker) ? Yep. Is this really worth fighting about ? Put pressure on Nokia where there is something you CAN'T fix, like opensourcing the closed components, etc, but loosing sleep over things like this... IMHO it's just a waste of efforts.

I'm able to randomly get good photos in medium light settings in auto mode, but notice a glare or haze from time to time. I've used every Nokia 5 mp Carl Zeiss camera, and this never should happen. The image quality should improve to spectacular over updates, but that sissified chrome ruins photos it shouldn't, and misses photos in low light it normally should handle.
