Hi all,

I am very used to using the dictionary on my old symbian phone and I am wondering if anyone can port the dictionary from symbian. The one that allows to search for meaning as well as meanings in other languages.

p.s. I just got my very own N900 and IT ROCKS..

Thanks in advance to all..

Please read the links in my signature!

Isn't there a dictionary already? Have a look at http://maemo.org/downloads/ please.

Talk to some of the maintainers of this piece and/or to the community developers if you really want this to be ported. A Brainstorm is more like
*you* "I am missing a descent dictionary"
idea1 "porting this and that including this feature-set"
idea2 "program with this feature-set"
$developer "I programed #2, what needs to be improved?"

man, there is QStarDict, it's in the testing library
https://garage.maemo.org/projects/qstardict/
this is a dictionary viewer, you can install it and add various dictionary libraries to it... it's amazing
