OPK starts: (writing on the fly propably lot typos and finglish)

-Best quater for both Nokia and Nokia Siemens Networks.
-Talks about new free Ovi Maps. Wants to transform Ovi Maps from just map application into platform that is used by many services and apps.
-Ovi maps optimized for on-line. Uses only fraction of bandwith compared to other mobile mapping solutions.
-Will use Maps for entering into mobile ad market.

Review of Q4:
-In Q4 mobile market started to grow after recession.
-Unit shipments up 17%
-Supply constraint in early Q4. Got better later in quarter.
-Total mobile marketshare 39% in Q42009 up from 38% in Q42008
-Converged devices (Nokia-talk for smartphone) market share up to 40% from 35%. (But nokia underestimated its share last quarter according to all smartphone marketshare analysts, so real growth should be is lower than that). Top five smartphones:4 touch screen models 5800 n97, N97 mini, 5230.
-6.1 million eSeries. 4,6 million nSeries. E72 strong initial sales. eSeries grow 40% in Europe.
-Ovi store now 1 million+ downloads/day
-Music services growing fast.
-Nokia Messaging deals with 69 mobile network operators.
-Ovi Mail accounts doubled in 2009.
-Nokia Life Tools spread to Indonesia. India and Indonesia keymarket for LIfe Tools.

Nokia Siemens Networks:
-Sales up 31% from last quarter.
-Getting lot of LTE orders. Biggest HSPA client list.

Timo Ihamuotila talking about financials:
-From next qaurter upwards Nokia will start reporting devices and services individiually. Makes sense now thats servces grows fast

Q4:
-Net sales 11 988 milion euros
-Devices average price and profit margings up.
-Services sales up 14%
-Navteq sales up 36%
-Nokia also getting more revenue from other market players due to fast increase in smartphone market (I.e Nokia getting lot of patent&license income from other smartphone makers).
-Non-IFRS gross margin 34,3%.

2009:
-NSN sales 3 600 million euros.
-Dividend same as last year.
-Cash and liquid assets at 8,9 billion euros at end of 2009.

Back to OPK:

-Touchscreen and QWERTY devices growing srong
-Nokia's unmached productiong capability allowed to execute fast growht in Q4.

Now questions from analyst
:
(Waiting for idiot from NA ask if Nokia plans to release Android phone):

- Goldman Sachs: Will Nokia be able to continue maintain fast smartphone growth.
OPK: Of course dude. Symbian 3^&^4 are pure gold. Lot of Symbian love. Symbian going from "good to great".

-Analyst with nervous amercian accent: Will average price per phone continue to grow?
-Timo: ASP will decline but slower than rest of the market.

-Oppenheimer: Asks about Nokia's weak performance in China.
OPK: Low end competition very hard. Chinese market very volatile. Nokia down from Q3 but up from Q42008. China mainstream market starting to move to higher price phones and smartphones

-Question about Maemo tablet!
OPK: Tablets and products like that are being explored. Experience from internet tablets and Booklet helps. More coming in this space but not making any product annoucements now.

(-One american analyst who pronounces finnish names damn perfectly good. Prolly works full time on mobile market analysis).

-Lots of Nokia Siemns Networks financial talk.

Conference over. I think that was first analyst Q&A in long time where nobody asked about possibility of Android phone from Nokia. Kind of dissapointed. The diplomatic answers in very annoyed tone were amusing.

oh come on - how lame's that? couldn't he at least have said something nice about the Maemo line? "Being explored" by OPK isn't what I dream of as a customer...
