Unusual Net work problem:
During my lunch break today I was showing a fiend a few of the applications and things I could do with the N900. First I connected the N900 to my phone to show him that I could get data even without a gsm provider. Then I went through and played with some of the time waster apps like: 100 boxes and angry birds. I then decided to show him the power of the N900 by opening up Open Arena. While playing open arena the device began to act funny so I tried to exit the game. When I did this the N900 locked up, so I did what any good NIT user would do and hold down the power button until it shut down and then restart.

Since then I have been having some strange connection problems where when I try to tether my n900 to my phone for data I get selective a connection. Skype is about the only thing that still works after the crash which is a good thing because I just activated a skype-in account today. This has been tested by a call to skype echo. But all my other services are gone: no massaging, no web, no irc, no mail, and no apps manager downloads.

If anyone has any idea what the problem could be I am willing to try most anything.

If the n900 can not be fixed I will do a reinstall of the OS. This also brings up a question :
1) Does a backup get all your sharing account info and other settings?
2) Does backup get all your contacts?
