Basically, you have in N900 some file which locks gst-video-thumbnailerd from finishing (some HD video?) and it blocks media player.
In meantime you can manually kill gst-video-thumbnailerd and use KMPlayer instead of system media player. After you kill it your media player can play again, but unfortunately it will restart gst-video-thumbnailerd.

started playing then after 2minutes stops and wont play.
