I have voip account (voip.co.uk) behind ATA connected to router and I was wondering if there was any voip software that would allow me to enter details of my present acount into N800 and in effect have a mobile landline when I had net connection.
Gizmo may do this but tried and failed to get it to work for my voip account.
Any thoughts as it would be rather cool to have my non phone hardware working as mobile landline.

Cheers

As far as I know, Gizmo is the only option at the moment to use a custom SIP account, and it's totally not good enough . It's a shame that up till now, Nokia didn't create a SIP client for the tablet, or at least sponsor some group to do it. Depending on commercial deals with third parties such as Gizmo and Skype for such a basic feature as VoIP is totally not the way to do things. In fact, this is one of my main disappointments in the tablet, along with the fact that the built-in media player supports almost nothing and it appears that creating new codecs in gstreamer doesn't help. Nokia really need to beef up software development for the IT.
