Open the camera-slide on the backside, then press on the "A" on the right side and choose automatic video.
That's all.

Hi, and welcome.

1. Open camera cover. This will start the camera for taking pictures.
2. Below the X for closing you should have a symbol, it's usually "A" which means the camera is in Automatic picture taking. Tap on it.
3. Pop-up appears. On the bottom there's Video Mode, tap on Automatic video.
4. Press shutter (button on top of N900, right of power button) and it's recording, press again to stop.

Don't know the real technical terms, but I hope this helps.
Happy recording.

I was playing with this the other day (new n900)

I could not get the video flash to work. Or see any options to turn it on. As it was dark in the room I was messing in. Any ideas what I may be missing here?

See that nobody mentioned that he should press the shutter button half way down to focus first, and then press it all the way to start recording =)

You mean turn the LED on while recording? You cannot do that at the moment, you can however download the app call "Flash" not the new version but older version and you can turn the flash on while recording videos.

OK thanks. Ill look into the app at a later date. Will wait for a up[date to fix it meanwhile.
