What probably happened is the package installs somewhere you didnt want it to. dpkg -L <packagename> will show you where it installed files

Looks like it doesn't install anything but changelog and copyright in /usr/share/doc, I'll have to try and fix this later today.

Hi, I too started a QT4 mpd client not so long ago - prior to owning the n900, but have it running on Zaurus. It still needs work, only basic functionality atm but what caught my attention was the reference to libmpd. I too started out using this but was informed by the guys in #mpd on freenode to use libmpdclient instead, as libmpd is being dropped .

I finally got this to extras-devel. Had a bit of a struggle getting libmpd there first.

Version 0.1.5 now on it's way to extras-devel.

Changes:
- Added portrait mode
- Fixed bug which caused app to crash to segmentation fault on connect error.

Is anybody besides me using/testing this?

I installed last night and it crashed on starting, but I guess it was the same bug you corrected on 0.1.5 version, right?

It was probably because I forgot to put libmpd as dependency first but it is now fixed also.

It should go to portrait mode when you turn your device that way.

Yeah, I just figured that out. It didn't work the first time I tried it.

One thing that isn't workin for me is the middle tab; I don't see any information. This isn't a big deal, the filesystem is organised well enough.

On a related note, what's the best way of listening to icecast streams in fremantel. At the moment I am using a http strean in the default media player.

thanks again.
