and I also regrettet to have bought the Nokia 3210 when it was the flagship device... I should have waited for the Nokia 888..

OMG
Every year will bring new and better phones, so wait for what??? The ultimate device implantated in your nano-cortex?? Then happy-waiting.

Simple answer from me.

It does what I need it to. I don't have take my laptop everywhere. I have access to my work: Skype, Email, Terminal Services.

I have internet radio and MP3, all streaming to the car radio.

I have navigation. I don't get lost as much as I do with the Navman.

If you don't like the N900, RTFM or GTFO, get a refund and buy an iPhone. They are designed for the "sheep" of this world who need features, but to be baby fed them with no freedom.

I don't regret it at all. It's a great device. I haven't had my macbook with me since Christmas. That reminds me.. God damn that reminds me.. The battery is going to be so dead in my macbook I've had it repaired twice already cause I forget it on standby and it runs out of juice and won't recharge anymore, and it's been like 1.5 months now.. god damnit.
Well they should accept it on warranty still, since Apple agreed it's their fault, even though the original warranty has already run out.

Oh yeah back to topic. Don't regret it at all. Don't see why Maemo 6 wouldn't work on N900 in the future, maybe few features have to be stripped, but should mostly work? Don't mind putting a few more bucks on my N900 if we have to pay for M6 either. It's just that good a phone/device.

Not at all. I'm loving every minute of it and IMHO it is the worthy successor of N95 (which I've been using since launch).
