Has anyone tried connecting an external hard drive to the N800 successfully? If so, what drive are you using?

Greetings:

I don't know about connecting an external hardrive to the N800.

But Seagate has a small external hardrive of 10 or 20 gigs that works through bluetooth.

DAVE, or Digital Audio Video Experience, is the size of a soap bar.

Read more about at: http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/pro...ctronics/DAVE/

I believe this hardrive if someone out there begins marketing it will sell well for the Nokia N800.

Thanks for the pointer btw.

Greetings:

Here is an Update on External hardrives for the N800.

It seems there are two companies that have these small soap bar size little wonders:

1) Seagate: with its DAVE, Digital Audio Video Experience.
It's true that this Hardrive is not on the market yet, maybe
we will see it later this year.

2) BluOnyx: these a small drives come in nice colors, lots of selection to
choose from.
Ok there was a company that was distributing these drives,
but it seems everything is very quite now about this product.
So, lets give them sometime to ironout whatever it is they
have to do and hopefully for 2007 we can all be able to buy
one.

If anyone has information on either of these drives, kindly say a few words.

If we keep replying to this thread often, then the companies will notice
the interest and the hardrives will become available sooner.

There has been talk about intergrating opensource software into these drives, which could open many potential uses for these drives.

Regards Robert

Actually, the BluOnyx looks really nice. Up to 40 gig too. I couldn't find the cost anywhere on their page though.
