Hi

I have my N900 configured my gmail account. Has anyone worked out how to put a link on the desktop to your inbox as saves me several clicks to get to it?

Thanks

Put a application shortcut for the Email app sounds like the easiest way and would require two clicks.

- tap on the screen (blank space)
- tap the configuration icon (appaers on the top right)
- select create shortcut

Are you sure?

1. Tap an empty space on your desk
2. Press the gear icon on the top right that appears
3. Press on 'Desktop menu'
4. Press Add shortcut
5. Scroll down until you see the E-mail app
6. Add it

That's about it.

Don't worry, I know how to add shortcuts to the desktop

It's just that for some reason, i can't locate the "email" one: it doesnt show up...

What name does it come under ? "Email" ? "Nokia messaging"

Isn't this tread about linking to the email INBOX, not the email APP? Currently, I can put a shortcut to the APP on the desktop. When I push it, I have to wait approx four seconds before the option Mail for Exchange appears. I push that, and wait another three seconds before all the folders appear. THEN I can finally access the INBOX. A shortcut - or even widget displaying the last N emails would be very nice indeed

Please somebody tell me that there is a desktop widget either in excistence or under development that displays the number of unread mails, sms messages and missed calls???

I can't seem to find anything but surely this is pretty basic smart phone functionality...
