Thanks man.
I've been using it ever since and haven't had any lost notes since then.
It would be nice to either be able to retrieve the lost ones - or know the reason why it happened so if it was my doing I never do that again.
Thanks for a great application.

I definitely agree. I actually have a general lack of trust of databases (lack of transparency) and am tempted to move things to be file based which would help debug things in the future.

I've hoped that someday the contents of Quicknote would be easily exported for import into PC-based database programs. Does a "file-based" approach lend itself to that? (I've had no problems with my limited amount of data I have in Quicknote ... and no problems of years of using EccoPro and QuickDex personal information databases in Windows and pre-OSX Mac OSes.)
Is ability to export data something you've considered? I'd like to be able to import from comma-delimited or tab-delimited files, too.

I'm having a problem I've installed quicknote but when I open it on my n900 it automaticly closes after 2 or 3 secs...
I really like the progam. it was working before I uninstalled a few python files to install the optifyed version. I don't know if thats the problem but it's the last thing I've done to clear some space in rootfs.
/usr/lib/quicknote/quicknote_gtk.py

Was it immediately after upgrade or did you get some use out of it first? Could you post the log? You can do this with Ctrl+l (letter L) which copies the log and then you paste it into your web browser, note app, etc.
It'll be a couple of days before I look into this.
