On my 2 GB internal (going to be the external once my 4GB SDHC gets in tomorrow) I have mostly music, the 128mb of virtual memory, games, and a few pictures. So what do you guys have on yours? When my 4GB gets in I'm swapping it with the 2GB and probably adding alot more music... maybe another 2GB worth,

8GB Internal (2K clusters): map files for Maemo Mapper
8GB External (32K clusters): VBR MP3s for Canola

I'll reformat the internal card when Maemo Mapper 2.0 migrates from individual map files to a database structure.

4gb internal
Music, movies, ebooks, and maemo-mapper files. I don't worry much about the wasted space from using a larger cluster size on maps - I have less than 1GB of maps right now.

I keep a second smaller card (1gb, right now) in the external slot, to move data on and off easily via a card reader. I usually use SCP from the desktop to the n800 to populate movies and music - just habit, no really good reason!

this may be a dumb question, but can you move data to/from the internal card by connecting to a pc over the usb? or do you have to physically pull the card and put data on it with a cardreader etc. ? ie will the nokia operate like a memory card reader and mount the internal card on a windows box?

Also what is the most intelligent division between data on internal and external cards? internal, virtual memory, installed apps, maps, etc and external card media files?

Thanks

N800 acts as a card reader. I guess I was talking more about digital camera pics, etc. I try to keep stuff I use a lot on the internal card, as I may swap out the external card for others. I'd also use internal for virtual memory, and of course, there's a way to boot from MMC, which works best from the internal card, although it should work from both.

All of this is because it's easier to swap out the external card.

With regards to docnesh, yes you can move files to/from the internal card. Just plug in the usb cable and restart the tablet. it will then show up as 2 removable storage devices. as for what i keep on mine... my 8G sd card has 23 cds currently and some anime. however, it does act strange when playing music with canola from an sdhc card. it tends to skip every few minutes which i find quite agrivating. must be some issue with the sdhc kernel im guessing. at any rate i think ill start a new thread about that issue.

What do u guys mean what you say "clusters"? Is there a different way to format the cards so that they read faster? Bigger or smaller clusters?

I have 2 8GB cards and one is filled with movies and the other with music (ok so I don't have a full 8 gb of music yet).
