I didn't even know that some people had problems with the USB port :|

No problems at all here!

Ok, thank you for the responses everyone. I will assume that the micro-USB has been fixed on all the N900's now.

Here's a 2nd "BUT"

Nokia is selling the N900 for $580 plus $4-10 shipping.
Amazon and Newegg are selling the N900 for $530 with free shipping.
I bought my N78 1.5 years ago from Amazon, and all my computer parts from Newegg, so I don't have any issue with them. BUT I would much rather buy from Nokia directly and cut out the middleman. If I'm interested in giving more of my money to Nokia, would this be an effective way do it, (disregarding the extra $50 Nokia wants to charge.) ?? Or is there some business structure in place that to prevent any difference in margins?

you would be stupid to buy from nokia if you can get it cheaper from reputable stores like new egg, Amazon, play. The 2 year warranty is with nokia (service centers) no matter where you buy it from....

why ask silly question like "would this be a effective way" its common sense, yes buying from nokia would be giving more money to them....what extra do you get out of? invoice that says nokia?

edit: either i missunderstood what you mean or its the stupidest question i have heard in 2010

dont be scared away by that thread. there are tons of users here and how many are reporting in that thread?

for my n900: the usb is tight but i hav been charged the phone lots of time now lots of unpluging but my usb is still there and no sign of any move at all. and i did not do anything to my charger too.

i do be careful when i just bought it but i unplug even without caution now but yes my usbport is still there
