Does anyone know if the Carman project will get bought over to Maemo 5? I've been searching around, but I haven't found any news one way or another. Thanks!

Interested, too! Now that I have an always-with-me NIT, it makes much more sense. And my ODB2>Bluetooth adapter sits currently unused in the car... Help! We need CAR-MAN :-)

Those guys have been quiet on the update front, on Canola and Carman. I'm not hooked into any of the chat rooms or anything, so for all I know there could be ongoing discussion on both of them (Canola and Carman) all the time, but I was sorta under the impression that they had moved on. Speaking of Carman, the whole "need to be root to set the symbolic link to the new version of the library" was not fun for me. Just sayin.

The first step for this i pretty straightforward - download package, unpack, chech dependencies and repack deb. I think this would work out of the box, if not - any skilled developer can fix the issues.

far from dead, if you read the page they stopped at v 0.7 and opensourced everything. therefore if someone feels like running with it they can. It can even be ported to other hardware platforms running linux.
