The SMB/CIFS support isn't built into the system. You can download the modules (from extras-devel), but I'm not sure how they integrate into the rest of the system - you may need to mount shares from the command-line.

As yet unless i've missed something the N900 can't easily access network shares as-is, you'd need to get cifs installed to the device to do so. Details on that are in this thread:

Be aware though, that simply installing the OpenSSH server on your phone, then connecting to it using WinSCP or similar, is much much easier.
